Directorates

At DCSA, we carry out our mission through four directorates. These directorates work together to secure the trustworthiness of the United States Government's workforce, the integrity of its cleared contractor support, and the uncompromising nature of its technologies, services, and supply chains. Industrial Security

The Industrial Security (IS) Directorate conducts risk management activities with respect to the U.S. Government’s defense industrial base, including critical technologies and the defense supply chain, through oversight of the National Industrial Security program, issuance of facility security clearances, foreign ownership, control, and influence mitigation measures, information system cyber security oversight, and other activities related to protecting classified and controlled unclassified national security information and related technology.

Personnel Security

The Personnel Security (PS) Directorate conducts risk management activities with respect to the U.S. Government’s workforce through investigations, screening, adjudications, vetted workforce data repository maintenance, and other vetting and personnel security management services.

Counterintelligence and Insider Threat

The Counterintelligence and Insider Threat Directorate (CI) conducts activities to identify, assess, deter, and mitigate foreign and insider threats to the U.S. Government’s industrial base and workforce in support of industrial and personnel security missions, both directly and through collaborative engagement with other intelligence and law enforcement organizations.

Security Training

The Security Training Directorate (ST) conducts training, education, and research activities to equip and prepare personnel supporting industrial security, personnel security, and counterintelligence and insider threat missions through the development, proffer, and management of on-line and in-person courses, curricula, conferences, and other products.
