Military

Investigation Status: 

Contact your Security Officer at your service duty station or Recruiter with questions about the status of your background investigation. DCSA can only discuss case status information with authorized contacts from your branch of service. 

Clearance/Adjudication Status: 

Contact your Security Officer at your service duty station with questions about the status of your security clearance or adjudication of your investigation. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (CAS) handles adjudicating your completed background investigation and granting your security clearance. DCSA can only discuss clearance/adjudication information with authorized contacts from your branch of service. DCSA can only discuss clearance/adjudication information with authorized contacts from your branch of service.

Federal Civilian

Investigation Status: 

Contact the Security Officer or Human Resources Representative at the agency where you are applying or are currently employed with questions about the status of your background investigation. DCSA can only discuss case status information with authorized contacts from your sponsoring agency. 

Clearance/Adjudication Status: 

Contact your Security Officer with questions about the status of your security clearance or adjudication of your investigation. The agency that requested your background investigation handles adjudicating your completed background investigation and granting your security clearance.

DoD Contractor

Investigation, Clearance or Adjudication Status: 

Contact your company’s Facility Security Officer with questions about the status of your background investigation, adjudication of your background investigation, or security clearance.

Other Federal Contractor

An individual may be processed for a personnel security clearance when employed by a cleared contractor in a job requiring access to classified information. As an exception, a candidate for employment may be processed for a personnel security clearance provided a written commitment for employment has been made by the contractor, and the candidate has accepted the offer in writing. The commitment for employment will indicate that employment shall commence within 30 days of the granting of eligibility for a PCL.
