JPAS now Read Only | Manage All Personnel Security Actions in DISS

Effective midnight on March 14, the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) is now in read only mode. Users should now be using DISS to initiate investigation requests, submit incident reports, and manage all matters pertaining to eligibility and access, security management, and visit authorizations.

Security managers will have approximately two weeks to reconcile data using JPAS as a reference tool, after which the system is projected to officially sunset on Wednesday, March 31 at midnight. DCSA asks that supported agencies and industry work closely with the Vetting Risk Operations Center (VROC) to close out all previously initiated JPAS investigation requests by March 30. Effective April 1, 2021, VROC will not be able to access JPAS to process any investigation requests and will process all investigation requests via DISS.

Formal guidance and designation of DISS as the system of record for access and eligibility will be issued separately in an Industrial Security Letter.
