DCSA announces 2021 Cogswell Award winners

The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) has recognized 40 facilities as recipients of the 2021 James S. Cogswell Outstanding Industrial Security Achievement Award. Chosen from nearly 13,000 cleared facilities in the United States, each facility has demonstrated industrial security excellence. To qualify, companies must establish and maintain a security program that exceeds basic National Industrial Security Program requirements. Recipients also help other cleared facilities establish security-related best practices while maintaining the highest security standards for their own facility. DISS Release 13.4.4 announcement
June 23, 2021 - As part of the ongoing rollout of user-focused improvements to the Defense Information System for Security (DISS), DCSA will deploy Release 13.4.4 on Thursday, June 24, 2021. Release 13.4.4 delivers several new features and system enhancements. To support the release, system outages are scheduled for Wednesday, June 23 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. ET and Thursday, June 24 from 6:30 p.m. ET to 6:00 a.m. Friday, June 25. June 21, 2021 - DCSA has created the first video of a series to provide industry with important information related to the implementation of the NISPOM Rule. The series' first episode, "Get Ready for the Rule!," is available now in the Resources tab at https://www.dcsa.mil/mc/ctp/NISPOM-Rule/. CAGE code guidance for DISS
May 27, 2021 - Within the Defense Information System for Security, National Industrial Security Program contractors are authorized to centrally manage personnel security clearances and there is no requirement for the contractor to establish a servicing relationship with the local CAGE code.
