DoW Veterans Programs

DCSA is committed to recruiting, supporting, and retaining veterans and transitioning military members. We understand the unique challenges and opportunities associated with transitioning to civilian life and are proud to partner with Department of War (DoW) sponsored programs that are designed to ensure the success of our Service Members.

DoW Operation Warfighter Program (OWF)

OWF is an internship program that places wounded, ill, and injured service members i supportive work settings that positively impact the recovery and rehabilitation process. The program provides an opportunity to augment employment readiness as participants return to duty or separate from the military.

Since 2012, the DCSA OWF program has hosted over 100 interns. DCSA OWF alumni have achieved significant career milestones, including positions with leading defense contractors and direct hires within DCSA. While program participation does not guarantee employment, the DCSA OWF program provides a strong foundation for future success.

DoW Hiring Our Heroes Program (HOH)

The HOH program provides continuing outreach and recruitment assistance to wounded, ill, injured, and transitioning service members, veterans, spouses, and primary caregivers through specialized career fairs. These career fairs bring together DoW agencies, other Federal agencies, and private sector corporations to offer career opportunities and provide hiring guidance.
