DCSA launches IEP Status Tracker to enhance transparency and customer experience

QUANTICO, Va. – The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) is releasing the Individual Engagement Platform (IEP), a public-facing interface designed to improve transparency and streamline interactions between the government and individuals undergoing personnel vetting. The IEP allows individuals to access near real-time information about their current and previous personnel vetting applications.

The IEP has a Status Tracker feature that provides applicants with visibility into the progress of their cases, reducing inquiries regarding case status and enhancing the overall customer experience. This capability aligns with the goals of Trusted Workforce 2.0 (TW 2.0) to modernize personnel vetting processes and improve efficiency across the federal government.

Why this matters

The launch of the IEP Status Tracker is a significant step in DCSA’s mission to deliver customer-centric solutions that support national security. By providing individuals with direct access to their application status, the platform:

  • Improves Transparency: Applicants can view the status of their personnel vetting applications without needing to contact DCSA directly.

  • Enhances Efficiency: The Status Tracker reduces administrative inquiries, allowing DCSA personnel to focus on mission-critical tasks.

  • Supports TW 2.0 Goals: This capability reflects DCSA’s commitment to modernizing personnel vetting operations and delivering faster, smarter outcomes for the trusted workforce pipeline.

What’s next

Starting March 5, the automated eApp email for new cases will include a link to the IEP Status Tracker, enabling individuals to easily access their case information. Over the next several months, DCSA plans to expand the features of the Status Tracker and its user base, ensuring the platform continues to meet the needs of applicants and stakeholders.
