DISS Release 13.4.4 announcement

As part of the ongoing rollout of user-focused improvements to the Defense Information System for Security (DISS), DCSA will deploy Release 13.4.4 on Thursday, June 24, 2021. Release 13.4.4 delivers several new features and system enhancements. To support the release, system outages are scheduled for Wednesday, June 23 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. ET and Thursday, June 24 from 6:30 p.m. ET to 6:00 a.m. Friday, June 25. Enhancements include:

  • Deactivated reporting URLs in the Case Adjudication Tracking System (CATS) and Joint Verification System (JVS).
  • New KLM and KLM-R Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) accesses.
  • Added HUMINT Control System (HCS) SCI caveats.
  • Added Personnel Investigations Processing System (PIPS) codes for Investigation Status.
  • Provided capability to scan all files uploaded into the application for malicious code.
  • Enabled PR deferrals to Continuous Vetting (CV).
  • New personally identifiable information (PII) update permissions in JVS requests.

Register now for NISPOM Rule SEAD 3 Reporting Requirements webinar
July 9, 2021 - Join the DCSA Critical Technology Protection Directorate staff on Wednesday, July 14, at 1 p.m. Eastern Time , for an Adobe Connect webinar, “Implementation of Security Executive Agent Directive 3, 'Reporting Requirements for Personnel with Access to Classified Information or Who Hold a Sensitive Position,' and Cleared Industry under DoD Cognizance,” where they'll discuss the SEAD 3 reporting requirements as outlined in 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM Rule). The webinar is recommended for attendance by Facility Security Officers, Insider Threat Program Senior Officials and cleared contractor security staff, and will include a question and answer session. Pricing for investigative products and services
June 30, 2021 - Today, DCSA released pricing for investigative products and services effective October 1, 2021. The products and services are funded through reimbursable customer orders via DCSA’s Working Capital Fund (WCF). DCSA will be adjusting pricing for its current product and services: • Background investigation products, Tiers 1 through 5, reduced by 3 percent compared to previously published FY 2022 rates • Reimbursable Suitability/Security Investigation (RSI) prices largely reduced, with new RSls added to address customer demand and improve mission efficiency • Service subscription fees for Trusted Workforce (TW) 1.25 service for non-DoD agencies reduced from $3.50 per month ($42 annually) to $3.00 ($36 annually) DCSA is also introducing new products and services beginning October 1, 2021.
