DCSA working with NCMS to provide DISS training

DCSA is working with NCMS, using its NCMSLive WebEx platform, to provide a
2-hour training session every Tuesday from 2 - 4 p.m. ET during the month of
January for EVERY user of the Defense Information Security for Security
(DISS)  -  government, industry and agencies.

NCMS members should register via their regular NCMSLive Registration
platform. 

Non-NCMS members should use the below URLs to register.

If you register and find that you can't attend, we ask that you cancel your
registration accordingly.  NCMS members can go to the registration platform
and "cancel registration".  Non-members can send an email to
NCMSLive@classmgmt.comand inform us of your cancellation.

If you're not sure the WebEx platform will work on your computer, you can
test your system (before you register) by going to Cisco WebEx | Test online
meeting - https://www.webex.com/test-meeting.html. 

If you have issues connecting on the day of the training, you can email us,
NCMSLIve@classmgmt.com, and we can provide you the instructions to call in
and listen via audio only. 


DISS training in January is full
Jan. 8, 2021 - UPDATE - All dates for the Defense Information System for Security training scheduled for January are FULL. DCSA will work with NCMS to provide more sessions in the future. As a reminder, if you have registered for training in January and find that you can't attend, we ask that you cancel your registration accordingly. NCMS members can go to the registration platform and "cancel registration". Non-members can send an email to NCMSLive@classmgmt.com and inform us of your cancellation. Please watch the DCSA website for updates.

DISS RELEASE 13.3.1
Jan. 7, 2021 - This week, DCSA will deploy the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) Release 13.3.1, delivering functionality enhancements in both the Joint Verification System (JVS) and the Case Adjudication Tracking System (CATS). The scheduled DISS release outage will take place from Thursday, January 7 at 6:00 p.m. ET to Friday, January 8 at 2:00 a.m. ET. Click title for more information

Use of Windows 7 Legacy Operating System and Adobe Flash after December 31, 2020
Dec. 30, 2020 - Microsoft has ceased to provide security support for Windows 7 and Server 2008 operating systems. National Industrial Security Program contractors were permitted to leverage the Microsoft Extended Security Updates, but not beyond December 31, 2020. The attached memo is a reminder to cleared industry that Microsoft products are coming to end of life on December 31, 2020. Click the title for more information

Ongoing JPAS to DISS transition
Dec. 22, 2020 - The JPAS to DISS transition is ongoing following DISS release 13.2 and with the December 11 announcement of the transition period extension beyond December 31. Users may continue to use JPAS while required functionality continues to come online in DISS. The next scheduled release - 13.3 - comes next month. Also in January, DCSA will host DISS training on Tuesdays, beginning January 5, from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. ET. Check back for registration information.
