Investigation, Adjudication and Clearance Status Checks

There are multiple systems that provide status information on investigations, adjudications and clearances. DCSA prefers that you use one of the automated systems to look up and obtain statuses on investigations, adjudications and clearances. The systems a vetting professional should attempt to check before contacting DCSA for status are:

  Central Verification System (CVS) (Requires NP2 Account first)
• Scattered Castles (SC)

If checking these systems is not possible at your agency and you are a designated Security Officer with DCSA, you may call the DCSA Telephone Liaison at 724-794-5228 to check the status of a background investigation. For status checks on adjudications or clearances that are not in the system, you will have to contact the responsible adjudicating or clearance granting entity.
