Contact Center Guidance

In order to better serve our stakeholders, the information below provides guidance on which contact center to call/email for assistance with JPAS and DISS inquiries.

1. An investigation request that is initiated and the e-QIP registration code is not populated.
Please contact the Applicant Knowledge Center (AKC) at 724-738-5090.

2. No investigation notification is received after a Personally Identifiable Information (PII) mismatch is resolved.
In DISS JVS, navigate to Subject Details, select the Edit icon for investigation request, then resubmit. If there are additional issues, please contact the DCSA Contact Center at 800-467-5526/502-335-9998 or via email at dcsa.ncr.nbis.mbx.contact-center@mail.mil.

3. Personally Identifiable Information (PII) needs to be updated in DISS.

4. Update Citizenship information in DISS:
There are three options:
- Please contact the DCSA Contact Center at 800-467-5526/502-335-9998 or via email at dcsa.ncr.nbis.mbx.contact-center@mail.mil.
- Contact the askVROC mailbox at dcsa.ncr.dcsa-dvd.mbx.askvroc@mail.mil.
- Submit a CSR- Supplemental Information to VROC.

5. Subject’s record was entered incorrectly and needs to be deleted.

The National Industrial Security Program (NISP) Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) celebrates Its 2nd Anniversary
April 13, 2021 - The National Industrial Security Program (NISP) Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), the official database of record for government and cleared industry members engaged in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment & Authorization (A&A) process has reached a significant milestone with their 2nd Anniversary on May 6, 2021. This anniversary announcement comes as NISP eMASS reports a record landmark with 1,502 eMASS Containers; 3, 700 users; and 6,292 systems. These numbers continue to grow every single day. NISP eMASS is the second largest instance within the Department of Defense as the Navy holds the record having been in use over 8 years. NISP eMASS maintains its positive impact based on relationships built by the Information Systems Security Professionals and Team Leads that work on a daily basis with both government and cleared industry users. Consolidated Adjudications Facility: Amended COVID-19 Extention Processing
April 9, 2021 - In April 2020, in coordination with various stakeholders, the Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF) began issuing COVID-19 extension letters for subjects with in progress official requests for information from the DoD CAF. The purpose of the extension letters was to prevent an unfavorable clearance action due to a COVID-19 related non-response. Click the title for more information.

Immediate need of verification due to incorrect eligibility
March 31, 2021 - If an Industry contractor is removed from a jobsite or cannot access a jobsite due to eligibility being incorrect, the Facility Security Officer (FSO) or Government Security Manager may contact the Vetting Risk Operations Center. Click the title for more information.

DoD CAF Annual Report now available
March 15, 2021 - The DoD Consolidated Adjudications Facility (CAF) has released its first annual report covering FY20. It highlights the CAF's accomplishments and continuous efforts to improve DoD-assigned adjudications and related personnel security eligibility determinations through the adoption of business processes, streamlining security clearance processing timeliness, and the return to healthy and stable inventories. JPAS now Read Only | Manage All Personnel Security Actions in DISS
March 15, 2021 - Effective midnight on March 14, the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) is now in read only mode. Users should now be using DISS to initiate investigation requests, submit incident reports, and manage all matters pertaining to eligibility and access, security management, and visit authorizations. Security managers will have approximately two weeks to reconcile data using JPAS as a reference tool, after which the system is projected to officially sunset on Wednesday, March 31 at midnight. DCSA asks that supported agencies and industry work closely with the Vetting Risk Operations Center (VROC) to close out all previously initiated JPAS investigation requests by March 30.
