Upon every introduction, DCSA Special Agents and Contract Investigators will present credentials identifying them as agency representatives. For questions related to an Agent or Investigator’s identity, contact the DCSA Safety and Security Team.

Background investigations are conducted on civilian and military applicants and Federal employees or employees of Government Contractors and consultants. The SF-86 must be completed to begin the background investigation process. For questions in completing this form in its entirety, contact Customer & Stakeholder Engagement.
If a written request is received, you may ask for a copy of the individual’s signed Authorization for Release of Information by indicating this on the written request or by contacting DCSA directly at 878-274-1000. If an investigator contacts you, you may request a copy of the Authorization for Release of Information directly from the investigator. By law, Federal agencies are required to accept electronic signatures (Public Law 105-277, Title XVII).
