Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT)

The SWFT program enables cleared Defense industry users to submit electronic fingerprints (e-fingerprints) and demographic information through SWFT to DCSA’s Fingerprint Transaction System (FTS) for individuals who require an investigation by the DCSA for a personnel security clearance.

Attention All Users

Processing of eFPs to DCSA FTS will be delayed due to scheduled maintenance on SWFT, starting at 1800 EDT (1500 PDT) Thursday, 13 October. During this time, SWFT will continue to accept fingerprints as normal and will release them to DCSA FTS once the maintenance has been completed.

Transfer of Vetting IT Systems

David L. Norquist, performing the duties of the Deputy Secretary of Defense (DEPSECDEF), issued a memorandum on January 28, 2019, stating that the following information technology systems supporting the Defense Vetting Enterprise were to transfer from the DHRA/Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) to DCSA effective October 1, 2020. The vetting IT systems are: the Defense Information System for Security (DISS); the Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission system (SWFT), the Investigative Records Repository (iIRR), and the Defense Central Index of Investigations (DCII).

As a result of this transfer, the URLs for webpages related to system status, frequently asked questions, and other information will change. Users should update their bookmarks with the new landing pages on October 1, 2020.
