NISS v2.7.3 Release Summary
July 27, 2025 – This release delivers key improvements focused on enhanced data control, improved user experience, and crucial security updates. Users will now be able to clear picklist fields when editing records, providing greater flexibility in data management. A distracting tooltip flickering issue has been resolved, ensuring a smoother user experience. Furthermore, a security vulnerability has been addressed, limiting task visibility to only those tasks assigned to the logged-in user and their associated CAGE Code. Issues related to role switching have also been resolved. Finally, v2.7.3 includes several backend fixes designed to improve overall system stability and performance.

March 24, 2025 – This release streamlines working with the KMP list and resolves messaging issues within NISS. KMP list changes are now saved automatically as you update fields in a FCL package, and bugs preventing users from opening messages and using the "mark as unread" function have been fixed.

Industrial Security Letters (ISLs) are issued periodically to inform cleared contractors, government contracting activities and DoD activities of developing relating to industrial security. These letters are for information and clarifications of existing policy and requirements.

The Industrial Security Letters listed above are in effect as DoD cleared contractor guidance for the implementation of 32 CFR, Part 117, “NISPOM.”
The Industrial Security Letters listed below are no longer in effect due to the cancellation of DoD 5220.22-M, “NISPOM” on December 10, 2021. These ISLs are due to be officially rescinded upon approval by the OUSD(I&S). A notice will be provided to cleared contractors under DoD cognizance when that occurs.
