The Office of Communications and Congressional Affairs (OCCA) delivers accurate and timely information about DCSA, its mission, goals, and activities to the public, the media, and Congress.

The office promotes and enhances understanding of DCSA and its importance to national security issues and strategies. OCCA serves as a liaison to other DoD public affairs offices and develops informational materials to enhance public and customer awareness of DCSA products and services.

Constituent Inquiries

OCCA assists congressional offices in determining the status of a personnel or facility security clearance for their constituents. Inquiries may be sent as faxes, icon telephone inquiries, or email directly from congressional district and personal offices.

Requests must include:

  • Privacy Act Release form with the constituent's signature
  • Full name of the constituent
  • Date of birth
  • Social Security number
  • Congressional office contact information including the email address and icon telephone number of the point of contact in the congressional office handling the inquiry
